Starting on a Career Path Now: What You Can Do
- Achieve the BEST grades you can. This will keep your options open.
- Explore your interests
- Notice your strengths and improve on academic weaknesses
- Participate in an after-school program that you enjoy, such as sports, art, music, drama, or dance
- Begin building an academic portfolio and resume for scholarships
- Ask your school counselor for academic guidance
- Ask your parent to attend your SEOP Conference with you and your school counselor
- Build a solid academic 4 year plan in your 8th Grade SEOP
