CAMPUS SUMMARY
Beginning operations in 1911, Dixie State College has a rich history of growth and increasing educational opportunities and programs. Located in St George, Utah, 300 miles south of Salt Lake City and 110 miles northeast of Las Vegas. With a population of 50,000 St George is a tourist mecca because of its proximity to such scenic wonders as Zion, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon National Parks, Cedar Breaks National Monument, and Lakes Mead and Powell. Utah's Dixie has a semi-tropical climate.

In 2000, the name was changed from Dixie College to Dixie State College in recognition of the approval to offer baccalaureate degree programs. There currently three bachelors degree programs --- Business Administration, Computer Information Technology, and Elementary Education, as well as several Associates Degree programs and numerous certificate offerings.

UNIQUE/SPECIAL PROGRAMS
Recent statistical surveys indicate that students have attended and graduated from Dixie for the following reasons: Close to home, small class sizes, great scholarships, and of course the beautiful surroundsings and climate!

In addition to the excellent transferability of our 2-year associates degree, DSC now offers three Bachelors Degree Programs in Business Administration, Computer & Information Technology, and Elementary Education.
