The Regents' Scholarship was created in March 2008.
The scholarship awards students who complete a defined core course of study during high school.
All courses for the Regents' Scholarship requirements must be completed during grades 9-12.
In other words, all required courses must appear on a high school or college transcript and courses taken in grades 7 and 8 will not satisfy scholarship requirements.
Please note: Students are currently allowed to complete any outstanding course work during the summer after they have graduated.
However; all course work must be completed by September 1 of their high school graduation year.
The scholarship is available to Utah high school graduates that continue their education at an institution of higher education in Utah.
Students should apply for the scholarship during their senior year of high school.
The scholarship application will become available in November and is due February 1, 2009 with a priority deadline of January 5, 2009.
